Australian patent holders are still struggling to bring down a generic Viagra-like drug that is cheaper than brand-name Viagra.
The US Food and Drug Administration on Monday approved a generic version of Viagra (sildenafil citrate) and another brand-name version of Viagra (sildenafil), while Australia’s patent watchdog is expected to follow suit with a similar drug.

On 14 March 2023, the UK Medicines regulator approved an application to reclassify the erectile dysfunction medication Cialis. When marketed asCialis Together(tadalafil 10mg), it will be a ‘P’ (pharmacy) medication, and so available ‘over the counter’ in pharmacies – see.
